Brochures are mailed to all City of Falls Church residents and non-residents who have participated in programs within the last two years. Copies are available at the Community Center, library and City Hall.
Corrections and Updates
Disclaimer Note: Although we strive to be accurate, this brochure is published for information purposes only. Occasionally there may be an error in days, times, registration requirements, or fees in this brochure. When such errors occur, our staff will do everything possible to correct the situation promptly. Changes may be necessary to the content. Thank you for your understanding should these situations arise.
If you would like to participate in a program/trip/event, please register in advance. There is a point when a program must be cancelled if there is insufficient registration. If minimums are not met, we will cancel that program/trip/event. All programs require a high level of coordination often including facility scheduling, staffing, and supplies purchases. Your cooperation will help us provide the best organization and administration of programs.
Each class has a minimum and maximum enrollment. Classes will be cancelled a week prior to start if minimum enrollment is not met. Classes and programs that are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment will automatically be issued a household credit. Household credits can be used for other program/class/trip and do not expire. If you would prefer a check, please contact us at 703-248-5027 (TTY 711) and a check will be mailed.
Waiting lists are created for classes that have reached the maximum enrollment. We'll automatically create waiting lists for all filled classes. Please be sure to sign up if you are interested in a class that is full, because class openings often become available. If demand is high, we will try to form another class. Please contact us for space availability.
Each class/program has a minimum and/or maximum age requirement. The participant must meet this age requirement by the first day of class unless otherwise noted. Failure to adhere to these policies will result in loss of registration fee.
The Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department offers financial scholarships to city residents who meet the income requirements. Call at 703-248-5027 (TTY 711) or visit the webpage for program information.
The City of Falls Church welcomes individuals with disabilities to register for programs. If you require assistance or have special needs, let us know at the time of registration. We will make reasonable accommodations to accommodate individuals.
Please be advised that all participants involved in any department programs or special events are subject to being photographed. Pictures are often taken of participants in our programs/events/leagues. Participants permit the taking of photos and videos of themselves and their children during activities, programs, and special events for publication and use as the department deems necessary. We reserve the right to publish these pictures in our publication or website without an obligation of notification or permission.
