Coe Branch Stream Restoration
  • Scope: Relocate and stabilize 700 linear feet of stream channel, banks, and beds through the center of the park in its natural floodplain and away from residences. Residents will see a channel that is roughly three times wider. Approximately 500 feet of underground stream, now piped underground, will be daylighted.

Pearson Branch Stream Restoration S. Washington Intermodal Transit Plaza
  • Scope: Improve pedestrian, bicycle, transit mobility, and access along South Washington Street. Construct a City Transit Plaza which will include a bus shelter, bicycle amenities, benches, and landscaping.

Roosevelt Street Pedestrian Accessibility Project
  • Scope: New sidewalk on the northern side of Roosevelt Street from Roosevelt Boulevard to North Tuckahoe Street; New crosswalks, ADA accessibility elements, and other pedestrian enhancements along Roosevelt Street; Intersection changes at E Broad Street/Roosevelt Street and Roosevelt Boulevard/Roosevelt Street, including improved crosswalks and ADA accessibility; Reduction of lanes on Roosevelt Street from three lanes to two, one in each direction.

Bus Stop and Bus Shelter Implementation
  • Scope: Installation of new bus shelters at existing stops and new bus stops throughout the City
  • Timeline: Shelters will be installed beginning in Summer 2015 and continue for several years.

Van Buren Bridge
  • Scope: Expansion of an existing bridge on Van Buren Street and adding a segregated pedestrian area to access the East Falls Church Metro station.
