ETC’s Storytellers Take the Stage

Everything is a story, you just have to tell it! With Education Theatre Company (ETC), students will gain the tools to be a master teller of tales and have everyone hanging on their every word. Whether it's the hero(ine), magician, or thief, students will work together to use their voices, bodies, and imaginations as they create unique characters and act out original stories. Family and friends are invited to attend a final sharing on the last day of camp.

Giant Basketball Academy


Former Washington Wizards and New Jersey Nets player Gheorghe Muresan and his coaches will teach the fundamentals of basketball. This camp will feature 1-on-1 skills, shooting, team play, defensive positioning, speed drills and competitions to further develop all-around players.

Jedi Academy (at NOVA Fencing Club)


This is the camp you have been looking for. Our Jedi Masters will teach your young padawan lightsaber Form One, Meditation, and Fencing. Learn the ways of the Jedi at this dual sport camp. No experience needed and all fencing equipment provided. Lightsaber and Fencing occurs during core hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Camp includes free-time activities such as Jeffball, games, chess, and Legos.

Restaurant Creation


If your Tiny Chef dreams of someday having their own restaurant, sign them up for this inventive Spring Break camp! Each day campers will produce a different course (appetizer, soup, main dish, or dessert) or an item from a certain cuisine and build a restaurant around it. Over the course of the session, they will also work on a final idea for their own restaurant, expanding on the types of foods their particular restaurant would serve base on the experiences they have had in class.

Whimsical Week of HP! 


Join us for a week of wizardry inspired by the J.K. Rowling series. Come explore the same subjects that Harry studied at Hogwarts including Astronomy, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Transfiguration, Herbology, and much more! Other activities include wand making, house sorting, Quidditch, a Horcrux scavenger hunt, and other wizarding treats.

Science: Potions and Explosions! 


Let’s have fun with Chemistry! In this class, we will create “magic” potions and exciting chemical reactions that will blow your mind. Erupt a volcano, make indoor snow, step inside a giant bubble, grow a giant crystal, blast a rocket into the air, and more. We will learn about the states of matter and how things change with mixtures, solutions and chemical reactions. Join us to channel your inner Professor Snape!

Professional Day and Early Release Programs

Mount Daniel Elementary Early Release Wednesday Program

Join us on early release Wednesdays on an adventure with the Falls Church Club House. Students will be dismissed to the Sensory Classroom where Rec and Parks staff provide a variety of activities mixed in with some outdoor play. Weekly activities will have a theme and can include art programs, hands on science experiments or games. Children should bring a snack.

Thomas Jefferson Elementary Early Release Wednesday Program

Join us Wednesdays during the school year where we will keep your kids active and engaged with our Extreme Sports and Games program that will let the kids set the tone as each week students will play some of the greatest games and sports ever invented! Games like dodgeball, basketball, capture the flag, floor hockey, and kickball! Additional activities will include strategy and cooperative games, scavenger hunts and more.

Hope you can join us! Transportation provided to the Community Center from Thomas Jefferson. Parents should pick up at Community Center at 4pm.

This is the ultimate sports camp and is ideal for all children who want to have fun while being exposed to a variety of sports.
