The 5-member Committee will provides the City Council in the development of the City's 20-year Solid Waste Management Plan.

The Committee is charged with the duties to address the following tasks:

  • Review the City’s current solid waste management program.
  • Evaluate the needs and opportunities for solid waste management in the City of Falls Church during the next twenty years.
  • Provide guidance to City staff and the consultant in the drafting of the Solid Waste Management Plan.
  • Conduct public hearings and consult with key stakeholders.
  • Present a draft plan to City Council no later than March 2024.
