Crime Reports, Annual Reports, and Community Policing Data
Weekly Crime Reports
The city distributes a weekly crime report, usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. The report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation. Please call the non-emergency line, 703-248-5053 (TTY 711), if you have any information regarding any of these crimes. Media may contact the Public Information Officer at 703-248-5210 (TTY 711). To request a report older than six months old, please create a FOIA request.

The Virginia Community Policing Act (HB 1250) requires law enforcement and State Police to collect certain information from the driver during all motor vehicle (traffic) and investigatory stops, and prohibits law enforcement officers from engaging in bias-based policing.
The Falls Church Police Department began collecting this data in July 2021 and reports it to the Department of State and the Community Policing Reporting Database for the purpose of analyzing data to determine the existence and prevalence of the practice of bias-based policing and the prevalence of complaints alleging the use of excessive force. In addition to the reporting required by the Community Policing Act, the data will be posted on the City's website on a monthly basis.
