In keeping with the mission and core values of the Falls Church Sheriff's Office, the court operations division is committed to protect and serve the judiciary and the public with integrity and professionalism by ensuring a safe environment in the Falls Church Combined Court consisting of Juvenile and Domestic Relations (JDR) and General District Court. All orders of the court, civil processes and warrants shall be served and enforced with a pledge to providing those services in the most vigilant, efficient and courteous manner.
The Sheriff's Office is responsible
to protect the integrity of all court personnel and proceedings, sustain the rights of individuals before the court, deter those who would take violent or disruptive actions against the court or its participants and maintain the decorum of the court. Persons entering the City of Falls Church Courtroom are subject to search to ensure weapons and other unapproved and contraband items are not allowed in the courtroom. Items prohibited from the courtroom include:
- Beverages
- Blackberry Devices
- Cameras
- Cell Phones
- Food
- iPhones
- Pagers
- Pdas
- Similar Electronic Equipment
- Tape Recorders (Unless Approved)
- Weapons
This also includes any other item deemed inappropriate by the sheriff.
