In addition to the activities listed here, shopping and recreation excursions are scheduled throughout the year.

Armchair Fitness
Exercise classes every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
    
Ballroom Dancing
Dance with live music every 2nd Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.

Bingo


Bingo meets every Wednesday from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Blood Pressure Screenings


Blood pressure screenings are held every other Tuesday from 9:00 a.m - 10 a.m.

Bridge


Social bridge is held on Mondays from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and contract bridge is held on Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Card Game (Hand and Foot)


Play this friendly game of cards every Friday at 9:30 a.m.
 

Foreign Language Conversation Group


Informal, drop-in groups meet weekly. New members are welcome.
  • Tuesdays: German, 10 a.m. - Noon
  • Thursdays: French, 10 a.m. - Noon
  • Wednesdays: Spanish at 10:45a.m. and Italian 1:30 - 3 p.m.

Golden Age Bingo


Golden age bingo meets every Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Knitting & Crocheting with Bea


Come join us every Thursday at 10 a.m. Knitting and crocheting for all ages and skill levels. 

Lunch Bunch


Join Senior Center staff on a lunch outing at various locations. Held the 2nd Monday of every month from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Transportation is provided for $1 from the Senior Center and leaves at noon. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own lunch.

Military History


Join this enthusiastic group on alternate Fridays. Selected topics include WWII, Korea, and the Vietnam War. (September thru June)
  

Pickleball


Calling all pickleball players! Every Monday from 12:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. and every Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Please contact Tracy at 703-248-5020 (TTY 711) if you have any interest. (September - June)
 

Smart Driver Course


A refresher-driving course for licensed drivers aged 50 and older through the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). This course will review the different processes of driving for the older driver. A certificate will be issued at completion of the 2 day course, which can be submitted to insurance. The State of Virginia mandates a discount in car insurance. Make checks payable to "AARP". Two sessions will be offered:

  • Class Dates: March 28 and 30
  • Time: Class meets on both days from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Fees: $20 AARP Members; $25 Non-AARP Members
