Falls Church Civil War Encampment

Saturday, May 18, 2019

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Cherry Hill Farmhouse, 312 Park Ave. (Map)
  • Sponsored by the City of Falls Church and the Victorian Society at Falls Church, in conjunction with the 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and the Falls Church Historical Commission.
From 1861-1865, the small farming village of Falls Church found itself on the edge of conflict. Join us on May 18, for a community event aimed to present and preserve Falls Church’s story and the experiences of those who lived here during those difficult years.

Programing includes access to Cherry Hill’s historic farmhouse and barn, children’s learning tent and living history from the 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Ladies Sanitary commission, Yankee School Marm, Civil War Surgeon, Professor Thaddeus Lowe, and more!
