Due Dates Resume October 1
Since we closed the library building to the public in mid-March in response to COVID-19, we have been automatically extending all due dates for items checked out before we closed and also for items checked out more recently through our contactless curbside pickup service. Starting October 1, we will resume the use of regular due dates.
How Can I Determine When My Items Are Due?
All items currently checked out have due dates falling after October 1. If you are uncertain when your items are due, there are several ways you can check!
- Logon to your account online: You can access your account through our online catalog 24/7 to see what you have checked out and when items are due!
- Use our automated "Gabbie" text system: If you have your cell number listed as a contact in your library account, you can text the word "status" to 703-520 2484 to receive a summary of how many items you have checked out and when they are due.
- Call our Circulation Desk: Can’t logon to your account or use our Gabbie text system? Call our Circulation Desk at 703-248-5031 (TTY 711) and staff can pull up your account to let you know when your items are due.
How Can I Return Items?
Our book drop is stilled closed; but we are currently accepting returns through our contactless curbside pickup service... even if you are not checking out anything new! For updates on how you can return items, please be sure to check our Returns page on the library website!
Can I Renew Items?
Yes! Items can be renewed up to 2 times if they have not been reserved by anyone else. Learn more...
