Department Updates


The Department of Public Utilities has just purchased a new 2013 Freightliner Hybrid Dump Truck, pursuant to the City's Green Fleet Policy enacted to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The truck was built and purchased from Johnson Truck Center and will be used by the Operations Division to haul asphalt, gravel, and debris to and from work sites.  This truck was purchased (fully funded) with a CMAQ grant administered by VDOT
