  1. Rock City with Bach2Rock at the Library

    Whether they’re a budding rock-star or an aspiring classical soloist, Rock City is the place to find real music education for your preschooler. Dynamic musical and movement-based activities, exposure to live instruments and musically inspired story-time. For children 3-6 years old. Registration opens February 18 at the Youth Services desk by phone 703-248-5034 or in person. Registration will not be accepted by email. Space is limited. Children must be present at 11:00pm to enter the room; at 11:05pm we will give spaces to children on the waitlist.

  2. Green Thumbs and Wiggle Worms

    In this dynamic program, kids will learn about the importance of sustainable gardens and how plants grow, discovering the secret “underworld” of roots and bugs that help in this process. Each participant will start their own garden, which includes another helpful creature, a worm, as we learn the importance of these invertebrates to composting and healthy soil.
