Doe to the COVID-19 pandemic, DMV Connect and DMV 2 Go will not be at City Hall in the near future. Please visit the DMV’s website to find the closest offices that are open, and instructions on how to make an appointment.
The city offers two options for conducting business with the DMV. See below for the services offered by the DMV 2 Go bus and the DMV Connect.
DMV 2 Go Full-Service Bus (Not Active -- No Upcoming Dates)
The handicapped-accessible, full-service office provides all DMV transactions including:
Applying for and renewing driver's licenses
Obtaining ID cards (including photos) and Virginia's veterans ID cards
Taking road and knowledge tests
Obtaining copies of driving records
Obtaining vehicle titles, license plates, and transcripts
Ordering disabled parking placards or plates
Updating an address after a move for DMV and voter registration
and much more.
Customers should be prepared with the required documents to complete transactions. Open to all Virginia residents. No appointments are necessary.
