Creative Cauldron was awarded $5,000 to launch a "Bold New Voices Musical Theater Festival" competition. The goal of the festival is aimed at supporting musical works written and/or composed by women and women-identifying writers and composers. Washington Sinfonietta (WS) was awarded $2,000 to help fund a free family holiday concert with reception at the Falls Church Episcopal Church on Sunday December 15, 2019. The mission of the Washington Sinfonietta is to enrich the community through affordable, accessible, and high-quality symphonic and chamber music performances. Welcoming Week by Welcoming Falls Church Welcoming Falls Church was awarded $2,284 for their welcoming week initiative to raise awareness of the contemporary immigrant experience. The project included public talks by an acclaimed author, Imbolo Mbue, in Falls Church on September 14, 2019. Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation
The Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation (THHF) supports a variety of activities that preserve, present, and interpret the rich African-American history, civil rights legacy, music and culture of Falls Church for residents, teachers, students, and visitors. Annual programs include the Harlem Renaissance Fair and Tinner Hill Blues Festival. The grant amount was $3,335.
