Our Fit at the Farmers Market provides the community with an opportunity to be active and try a variety of fitness classes offered not only by the Recreation & Parks Department but by local fitness studios as well. All classes are free and there is no registration required.

Saturday, September 7, 9:00 AM: WERQ: Come get a free WERQout – a cardio dance class based on pop and hip-hop music routines. All dance and fitness abilities welcome!
Saturday, September 14, 9:00 AM: Pure Barre: Low impact total body workout incorporating simple moves and exercises focused on balance, core strength and flexibility.
Saturday, September 21, 9:00 AM: Family Yoga:Looking for a free family-friendly activity? Join us for family yoga! Class may incorporate music, stories, games, and partner poses to help focus on the breath, move through yoga poses, and relax. Best suited for toddlers - 6 year olds. Parents are encouraged to participate along side their child(ren)! If you have a mat, please bring it with you. A limited number of yoga mats will be available to use during class.
Saturday, September 28, 9:00 AM: Body Dynamics (HIIT): High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) alternates short periods of more intense exercise with less intense recovery periods. It’s a great way to mix up your cardio routine.
Saturday, October 5, 9:00 AM: Blue Nectar Yoga. An energizing flow yoga class that links breath and movement while maintaining a balanced focus on alignment. Students will find sun salutations, back-bends, deep stretches, and more.
Saturday, October 12, 9:00 AM: Body Dynamics (Breathe, Move, and Relax) An exploration of deep breathing techniques to encourage ease of movement and relaxation. Each class consists of a simple movement warm up, breath practice, and an opportunity to stretch.

Saturday, October 26, 9:00 AM: Cyclebar: CycleBar Falls Church brings their indoor stationary bicycles to the outdoor Farmers Market. Come ready to spin.

Saturday, November 9, 9:00 AM: Body Dynamics (Tai Chi): Tai Chi focuses on balance physically and internally. The slow rhythm and movement forces you to breathe in time and pay attention to each small shift on weight and foot position. It is relaxing, fun, and can be adjusted for all ages and physical abilities.
