    In-Person Programs and Conference Room Use Suspended; Group Study Rooms Restricted to 3 or Less;  Masks Required in Library

    Due to concerns about the recent increase in COVID-19 transmissions in the DC area, all in-person library programs and use of library conference rooms are suspended through January 31, 2022. Group study rooms may still be reserved, but are limited to groups of 3 or less. All visitors age 2 and over, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask in the library (and other City of Falls Church government buildings). Learn more...

Library to Your Door

  • Library to Your Door provides no-cost home delivery of library materials to any City of Falls Church resident physically unable to come into the library
  • Homebound patrons may borrow books, magazines, DVDs and audiobooks for an extended loan period of four weeks. Library to Your Door customers may request up to five items a week up to a total of 20 items checked out. 
  • MRSPL staff will fill requests for specific titles, or select materials based on reading interests, and then check-out, deliver and, later, retrieve the material.

Library Talking Book Service Through National Library for the Blind and Handicapped

  • Library of Congress provides Talking Book Service free of charge for the blind, physically or visually impaired or learning disabled.
  • Audiobooks and playing equipment are provided free of charge by mail.
  • Residents of the City of Falls Church are provided this service through Access Services Branch of the Fairfax County Public Library. For More Information, call (703) 324-8380 (TTY 711).
