The Recreation and Parks Department offers a consolidated program of activities including social activities, recreation programs and trips for area seniors at the Senior Center located in the Community Center.
Due to the pandemic, the Senior Center is open inside the Community Center for registered programs only (No walk ins) and will continue to offer several programs virtually. Waivers must be completed before start of program.

Foreign Language Conversation Groups
All groups are looking for new members. Some knowledge of the language is expected. These are not teaching classes. Informal groups meet weekly on Zoom.
German Conversation: (volunteer facilitator needed!)
Spanish Conversation: Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Italian Conversation: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
French conversation: Thursdays at 10 a.m.

New Yorker Discussion Group
Join our monthly New Yorker reading group to share your thoughts on what you’ve read in a variety of articles. The group meets Virtually on the first Thursday of the month from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

See the world from the comfort of your chair. Join us on the third Thursday at 10 a.m. to watch a video about a different part of the world. The group meets in the Teen Center of the Community Center. This program is brought to you by the Falls Church Senior Center and Mary Riley Styles Public Library. Program takes a summer hiatus and will resume in September.
