COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Visit the City of Falls Church Vaccine Appointment Information page for details on how to register for a COVID-19 vaccine. Note: Fairfax Health Department is the City of Falls Church's contracted Health Department. 
The Recreation and Parks Department offers a consolidated program of activities including social activities, recreation programs and trips for area seniors at the Senior Center located in the Community Center.

Due to the pandemic, the Senior Center is closed inside the Community Center until further notice but will be offering several programs virtually. For more information, contact Tracy Browand, Senior Center Coordinator, at or 703-248-5020.

Senior Center Interest Survey

The City of Falls Church Senior Center strives to provide outstanding and high-quality programs for everyone age 50 and over. Please take a moment to complete our online survey to ensure we continue to support our community's needs. 

Virtual Programs and Activities

Foreign Language Conversation Groups

All groups looking for new members. Some knowledge of the language is expected. These are not teaching classes. Informal groups meet weekly on Zoom. German Conversation is looking for a new volunteer to facilitate discussion.

  • German Conversation: Mondays at 10am 
  • Spanish Conversation: Wednesdays at 10am
  • Italian Conversation: Wednesday, at 1:30pm
  • French conversation: Thursdays at 10am

Military History

New Yorker Discussion Group

Join our monthly New Yorker reading group to share your thoughts on what you’ve read in a variety of articles. The group meets on the first Thursday of the month from 2-3pm. Mary Riley Styles Librarian Pete Sullivan leads the discussion. Contact him at for more information and to join the group. First in person session will begin in December.

Armchair Travel 

See the world from the comfort of your chair. Join us on the third Thursday at 1pm to watch a video about a different part of the world.  Meets in the Falls Church Community Center at 223 Little Falls Street. This program is sponsored by the Falls Church Senior Center and Mary Riley Styles Public Library. No registration is required.
