Volunteer to help remove invasive plants and install native plants (10am-Noon), or participate in the City Nature Challenge, cataloging plants, birds, insects, and more (Noon-2pm).

Enter the park adjacent to 501 Van Buren St. Street parking is available and please ensure you stay within the City limits. Follow the gravel path into the park and to our work location.
Tools, gloves, water and snacks will be provided. No need to register unless your group is 5 or more people (we’d like to ensure we have sufficient tolls and snacks for everyone). This is appropriate for children, but direct parental supervision is required.

City Nature Challenge: Noon to 2pm
Join Arlington Master Naturalist Amy Crumpton and City staff and participate in a global competition to observe and catalogue as many species of plants, birds, insects, fungi, lichens, and more as possible. Participants make observations using the iNaturalist phone app. The City Nature Challenge is a fun way for you to help the City of Falls Church collect natural resource inventory data on our parks.
