City Nature Challenge: Howard E. Herman Stream Valley Park
Friday, April 26, 2019
Show the world how wild The Little City is! Help us observe and catalogue as many species of birds, bugs, animals, plants, and any other wild living things we can find in Howard E. Herman Stream Valley Park.
Join Arlington Master Naturalist Amy Crumpton and City staff and participate in a global competition to observe and catalogue as many species of plants, birds, insects, fungi, lichens, and more as possible. Participants make observations using the iNaturalist phone app. The City Nature Challenge is a fun way for you to help the City of Falls Church collect natural resource inventory data on our parks.
To find more info on the City Nature Challenge and to download the iNaturalist app, please visit www.inaturalist.org. All age groups are welcome.
Enter the park near the Rollins St. entrance and meet at the footbridge.
Can't make the Friday event? Join us instead on Saturday, April 27 at Isaac Crossman Park from noon - 2:00 p.m. or on Monday, April 29 at Cherry Hill Park from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
