Notices

  • Upcoming Road Closures
    • The following roads will be closed to through traffic for one day each due road pavement replacement.
      • March 4: Ellison St. (between 1222 and 1220)
      • March 5: N. Cherry St. (between E Jefferson and E Columbia St)
  • Curbside Services the week of February 19
    • There will be NO delay in curbside services this week. Presidents' Day will not affect pickup. 
  • Early Voting: Saturday, February 24
    • First Saturday of early voting, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Town Hall with State Senator Salim and State Delegate Simon
  • Asphalt Issues on Cherry, Ellison Streets
    • The Department of Public Works is working on a solution to the asphalt issues on N. Cherry Street between E. Columbia Street and E. Jefferson Street, and in the 1200 block of Ellison Street. Updates will be made here.
  • Early Voting: Republican and Democratic Primaries
    • Early and by mail voting have started. Primary elections are March 5, 2024. 
    • Voters will have to choose which party primary to vote in.
    • Visit fallschurchva.gov/Vote for more information, sample ballots, and more.
  • Tips for a Smooth Trash, Recycling, and Solid Waste Pickup
    • Per the City solid waste code:
      • Trash and recycling carts must be placed curbside before 7 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day or after 5 p.m. the night before.
      • Return carts to the side or rear of the residence by the evening of pickup or 7 a.m. the next day.
      • Place brush, grass clippings, and leaves in compostable 30-gallon paper yard waste bags with a yellow sticker.
      • Brush may also be placed in containers with a capacity of less than 30 gallons or bundled with cord and twine and placed at the curb, avoiding sidewalks and storm sewers, and not in the gutter.

  • Egg Hunt
    • Saturday, March 30 
      • Activities begin at 9:15 a.m.
      • Hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m.
      • Magic show at the barn at 10:30 a.m.
    • Cherry Hill Park (312 Park Ave.)
    • Free and no registration required. Please bring your own basket.
