    City crews will collect leaves from residential areas north of Broad Street the week of December 16. Residents should rake their leaves to the curb, taking caution to avoid raking them into or on top of gutters, sidewalks, and fire hydrants.

    The annual tradition returns as the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department (FCVFD) decorates the reserve engine and escorts Santa Claus through the streets of the greater Falls Church area.

    A group for aspiring writers. Share your work, give and receive feedback. All kinds of writing considered. Bring something that you're working on. Usually meets the last Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. However, in December the meeting will be one week earlier (December 19) so as not to conflict with the Christmas/New Year's holiday. The group will meet at Panera Bread (450 W. Broad St.).
